Join the Sierra Club’s Hawai'i Service Trip Program (HSTP) in partnernership with the City and County of Honolulu to plant a native species demonstration garden at the Queen Kapiolani Garden in Kapiolani Park (O`ahu). 

Saturday, October 17, 2009    9 a.m. – 12 noon

Learn more about native plants from one of Hawaii’s leading authorities, Rick Barboza of Hui Ku Maoli Ola native plant nursery
Find out about Sierra Club’s service trip opportunities 
Enjoy a fun morning with other people interested in environmental service
Contribute to the future enjoyment of Kapiolani Park by visitors and locals alike. 

HSTP and the City and County will provide refreshments, water and tools. Please bring sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses, and gloves if you have them. And a willingness to work and learn, of course!
